Master of Arts in Music

The Master of Arts in Music degree is a rigorous, graduate program that offers curricula designed to elevate student accomplishments in their pursuit of professional excellence. Students in the program receive a broad overview of musical study with access to courses in areas including, but not limited to: Instrumental Performance, Vocal Performance, Composition, Instrumental Conducting, Choral Conducting, Music Theory, Music History, Jazz and Music Education. Because of the vast number of elective courses at the graduate level, the Master of Arts in Music program will allow students to experience an array of academic and performance classes that enhance their abilities and expand their creativity without being overly prescriptive. Music majors in the Master of Arts program may take courses from a variety of disciplines that introduce students to other fields and ways of thinking.
